Nigerian pop artist, Ayo Balogun aka Wizkid have lauded the United Bank for Africa (UBA) group for providing relief support for African countries due to the coronavirus outbreak worldwide. The United Bank for Africa has donated #5 billion ($14 million) as relief support in Nigeria and 19 other African countries. This has made Wizkid to praise the Bank’s board and executives.
According to the statement released by the bank on its Twitter account, the donation will provide significant and much needed support to Nigeria and 19 African countries, by supplying relief materials, critical care facilities, and financial support to Governments.
The bank’s donation has been allocated as #1billion to Lagos (Nigeria), #500 million to Abuja (Nigeria), #1 billion to the remaining 35 states in Nigeria, #1.5 billion to UBA’s presence countries in Africa and #1billion for Medical Centres with equipment & supplies. This has made Wizkid to shower praises on the bank through his Twitter account.
Starboy Wizkid, who has once mentioned the Chairman of the bank’s group, Tony Elumelu as his mentor is also a brand ambassador for the bank. It was a delight for him to see the bank coming through for the people in this harsh period.

United Bank for Africa really deserves this praise from the African Starboy, Wizkid. It’s a giant step in overcoming the coronavirus pandemic that hit the whole wide world.
