The struggle to get a goal in the ongoing Fifa World Cup by the African teams continues as Cameroon suffered a 1-0 loss to Switzerland. The goal came from Breel Embolo who is a Cameroonian but naturalised in Swiss after he moved with his family from Cameroon to France and then to Switzerland.
Switzerland and Cameroon star Breel Embolo Scored the only Goal in Group G Opener
The Cameroonian who plays for Ligue 1 top side AS Monaco scored the only goal as his side open their Qatar 2022 World Cup campaign with a win. It was their first World Cup game the win for them means they are currently the leaders of Group G.

After scoring the goal Embolo refused to celebrate as he pays respect to his birth country and African brothers. The Indomitable Lions were unfortunate to lose after an enterprising display at the Al Janoub Stadium in Qatar. However, with Brazil looming in this group, Embolo’s strike secured a valuable three points for Switzerland.
