Virgil van Dijk Had a Successful Operation
Liverpool and Netherlands defender Virgil van Dijk has had a “successful” operation on his knee ligament injury. The player’s fans can now smile at least even if he will not be playing soon, his operation was successful.
The 29-year-old has not played since sustaining the injury. He picked up the injury in the game against Everton, he had a damaged damaged anterior Crucite ligaments (ACL). They however ended 2-2 without him and it is said that he could be out for over six months.
Liverpool said “no timeframe has been placed” on Netherlands international Van Dijk’s return. Returning to action after ACL surgery can take several months. Jurgen Klopp’s side has since lost Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara. The player was been used in the defence line to filling Van Dijk space. Fabinho sustained a hamstring injury.
