One of the biggest young strikers in the world of football right now is Nigerian Victor Osimhen. Ever since joining his new side Lille OSC in the Ligue One, he has been exceptional, scoring in almost all their matches. The 20-year-old has been outstanding and has won the hearts of the fans of Lille.
Victor Osimhen started his football career with Ultimate Strikers Academy in Lagos, Nigeria. He came into limelight through his performance in the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup held in Chile. Osimhen found the back of the net in all the matches played in the tournament, he scored 9 goals in total in the tournament. The young Nigerian won the golden boot alongside fellow teammate Samuel Chukwueze.

VFL Wolfsburg
On the 5th of January, he signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the German side VFL Wolfsburg. Osimhem made his debut in the Bundesliga on the 13th of May against Borussia Monchengladbach. The young star could not impress the German side scoring no goal in 14 matches. He was loaned Belgian side Charleroi after a failed trial with both Zulte Waregem and Club Brugge.
Sporting Charleroi
On the 22nd of August he signed a season-long loan with Charleroi, he made his debut on the 1st of September 2018. Osimhem scored his first goal against Waasland–Beveren with a backheel, he scored his first brace for the club against Zulte Waregen on the 21st of October. It was a good season for Osimhen as he ended the season with 8 goals in 16 matches. The Nigerian went ahead to score 20 goals in 36 league games, this made the club wanting to make his deal a permanent one. However, Osimhen did not sign for the Belgian side, he was later sold finally to Lille OSC of France.
Lille OSC
Victor Osimhen signed for the French Ligue One side Lille OSC. On the 11th of August, he made his debut for Lille scoring brace against Nantes. Osimhem has since been scoring for the Ligue 1 side, he is the highest goal scorer in the league. He has scored seven(7) goals in Nine(9) matches. He registered his first Champions League against Chelsea in their second leg of the Champions League which they lost 2-1.

The CEO of Lille (Campos) has said he is not surprised by the scoring form of Osimhen in Lille. “I went to Lagos to see the U17 World Championships. After one match I wanted him, but his price was very expensive for a 17-year-old. We are happy to have him finally with us, the fans love him and he is happy with the team.

Victor Osimhem scored his first international goal for the national team against Ukraine in an international friendly on the 14th of August. Osimhen is among the National team that won the bronze medal in Egypt.
