Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen managed to secure at least a point for Napoli following a tough draw at relegation-threatened Cagliari in Monday night’s league game. A win for them would have taken them to the top of the Serie A table after league leaders Inter Milan failed to win in their last game.

The draw means Napoli remain in third place on 54 points and would have usurped leaders AC Milan (on 56 points) if they had beaten Cagliari. Gaston Pereiro put Cagliari in front but Napoli did not give up and eventually, their hard work was rewarded when Victor Osimhen headed home a Mario Rui cross to tie things up in Sardinia, securing an important point for the title race.
The Nigerian striker who was tipped by Napoli head coach to rising to be the best striker in the world was able to help his side come back and share points with Cagliari. The two teams had chances in the remaining minutes of the game, but could change the scoreline at it ended 1-1.
