In a new shocking development following the death of Uwa Omozuwa who was raped and murdered last week, sister to the deceased has disclosed the shocking demand of her family from police in a new interview with newsmen before they can pursue justice for Uwa ‘s death.
Uwa Omozuwa
Uwa’s sister, who was in tears when she announced her family’s ordeal with the Nigerian police, she also denied some of the police’s claims.
She said police said Uwa ‘s father declined to visit the police station when, in fact, her father had frequently visited them so they could investigate the death of his daughter.
After debunking reports that their sisters incident took place on May 17, she expressed her frustration with the Nigerian police.
She also revealed that police have been demanding “mobility money” to investigate the death of Uwa.
She said all this in the presence of other police officers, as the video is currently doing the rounds on social media. Another voice in the background also chipped in that police had asked Uwa ‘s father ‘if his daughter is ever the first victim of rape.’
Her comments have fuelled the outrage of Nigerians online protesting her death. It seems that Nigerians are disappointed with the Nigerian police and dragged them online.
