Manchester United owners, the Glazers, have finally given the green light for the club to sign Tottenham Hotspur star player Harry Keane. According to reports, Manchester United are willing to spend £90 million ($125m) to land the attacker.
Manchester United have been without a point since the departure of Romelu Lukaku, and their saving grace was the arrival of Edison Cavani. Nigerian international Odion Ighala came last season, but it was a loan move; he did not meet the mark as he had very little playing time in the team.
Harry Keane the Attacker United Needs
The club desperately needs a point man to assist 35-year-old Edison Cavani. Rumour has it that the club is willing to sign the player as the club owners want to listen to their fans finally. Fans of Manchester took the street of Old Trafford on Sunday protesting against the Glazer family, of which many of the fans said the family is a greedy one.
The protest led to the postpoment of the super-Sunday clash between Manchester United and Liverpool, of which a date to play the game has not yet been fixed. Harry Kane is interested in such a move as well, especially now that it seems that Spurs will not be in the Champions League next season.
Manchester United is also offering Juan Mata to Italian giants Lazio and the Italian side is considering offering the 33-year-old a two-year contract worth €4m per season. They have already contacted Juan Mate’s agent. Juan Mata’s contract will be ending in June, and he will and so he is likely to join the Serie A side.
