English Premier League top North London side Tottenham Hotspur talks with former AS Roma manager Paulo Fonseca about becoming their new manager. The Premier League side is seeking a successor to Jose Mourinho, who was sacked in April.

Jose Mourinho is currently with AS Roma, and according to reports, Tottenham Hotspur wants to bring the person Jose Mourinho succeeded in Italy. Spurs are yet to agree on a deal with the manager, but they have gone far in their talks of managing the club. The club first reached out to former Inter Milan and Chelsea manager Antonio Conte but disagreed.
Fonseca did well at AS Roma, but he was still sacked as he left the seventh-place position in the Serie A table. They were knocked out of the Europa League semi-finals by Manchester United. Fonseca took over AS Roma job after Claudio Ranieri was sacked. He has coached Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine and also Porto and Braga in his homeland.
