Carlos Tusquets Not Please with Lionel Messi
Barcelona interim president Carlos Tusquets has openly said left to him, he would have sold Lionel Messi since before now. The interim Barcelona coach said if he was in charge during the summer transfer, he would have sold Messi.
Messi has struggled for form in the 2020/21 season compared to his usual standards. The current world best player has been pushing for his exit from the club of which the club refused. His form might give dropped because of this reason as many clubs have been contacting him.
He reversed on his decision to leave when it became clear that he would be involved in a huge legal battle with Barcelona if he does not stop the push. Currently, he is causing a strain on Barcelona right now due to his huge £54million-a-year salary, and Carlos Tusquets admitted he would have cashed in on the reigning FIFA Beat Player award winner.

According to Carlos Tusquets, he said: “From an economic point of view, I would have sold Messi in the summer.” “It would have been desirable for the money we would have received, and for what we would have saved.”
Meanwhile, Manchester City has reignited their interest in the player having failed to prise him away from Barcelona throughout the summer.
According to The Sun, Messi still wants to leave Barcelona as soon as possible, which has reopened the door for a possible Manchester City switch in the January transfer window.
The English Premier League side was leading the race for Messi during the summer with Pep Guardiola hoping to reunite with his former star as he bids to finally win the Champions League for the first time since he left Barcelona.
And Barca could be tempted to sell in January as it would guarantee them a transfer fee, whereas Messi’s contract runs out at the end of next June when he will be allowed to walk away from the La Liga giants for nothing.
