Following the abduction of over 300 students in Katsina, a resident of Ƙankara Local Government Area of the State has explained the rationale and those he suspected to have masterminded the abduction.
Speaking with Channels TV, the man, who spoke under the condition of anonymity described the abduction as a reprisal adding that the bandits had attacked Yar-Kuka village last week Wednesday and killed 12 villagers.
According to him, vigilante group went after the bandits in their hideouts and engaged in burning down the Fulani houses, injuring and killing some of them a day after the attack on Yar-Kuka village.
He further explained that the bandits strike again and that led to the attack on the students on Friday night.
Abduction Of Students In Katsina

You will recall that the students were reportedly abducted at a time when President Muhammadu Buhari travelled to his hometown in Daura on a private visit.
The President has however condemned the abduction and directed the reinforcement of security of all schools.
Meanwhile, the Presidency said the military had located the bandits’ location and were in the process of retrieving the abducted students.
