Thomas Partey Out Due to Injury
Thomas Partey has been ruled out of Arsenal’s travelling team that will Leeds United in this weekend. The English Premier League resumes after the break due to international break. The player is said to be nursing a thigh injury.
The club made the announcement while giving an update on the fitness of injured players. Thomas Partey picked up the injury during the Gunners’ last match before the international break. They lost 3-0 to Aston Villa on the 8th of November and he has not recovered in time to travel to Elland Road on Sunday.
The former Atletico Madrid star is continuing to be assessed by Arsenal’s medical team and it is unclear when he will return. Arsenal will also be without Mohamed Elneny and defender Sead Kolasinac for Sunday’s match at Leeds as they both have Covid-19. Thomas Partey will be out for some weeks.
The good news for Arsenal is Gabriel Martinelli and Pablo Mari are getting closer to making their comebacks. Mari has been out since June with an ankle injury, but he is now integrating into full training. Martinelli has also been out since June, but the Brazilian is aiming to join in with squad training sessions in the next two weeks as he recovers from a knee problem.
