The final chapter of 22 films and an epic journey bate Avengers: Endgame has been doing well at the box office. Doing well seems a bit of an understatement at this point considering the fact that the film has made $2.1B in 2weeks making it the 2nd highest grossing film of all time. In the End game, we said our final goodbyes to some of our favorite Avengers. Some dead, some retired, some traveled back in time for some good loving from his girlfriend. This is the status of some Avengers post-Tony snap.
Iron Man/Tony Stark: Deceased. Sacrificed himself by wearing the gauntlet and snapping all the baddies into oblivion. The snap had a drastic effect on him which he couldn’t bear.
Captain America/Steve Rogers: Alive- Retired. Went back through time to finally be with the love of his life, Peggy Carter. He passed the mantle of Captain America to Sam Wilson (Falcon) when he handed over his vibranium shield to him.
The Hulk/Bruce Banner: Gravely wounded after using the Infinity Stones to bring back everyone who was dusted, but apparently recovering well. Still seemingly at peace with his dual identity and still working as the MCU’s brawniest super-scientist.
Thor: Since it was the season of passing down mantles (I really wanted Bucky to wield that shield) The rulership of “New Asgard” was passed on to Valkyrie. And Thor made off with Starlord and the other guardians teasing the name “Asgardians of the galaxy”. This would probably have a significance in the upcoming Guardians of the galaxy 3.
Black Widow/Natasha Romanoff: Natasha Romania died and remained dead even with Hulk’s attempt to bring her back when he wore the gauntlet. She gave her life in Vormir so Hawkeye could have access to the soul stone. However, her upcoming stand-alone solo film suggests she could be back. Or maybe it’s set in an alternate universe or a prequel before all the Avengers’ escapades.
Hawkeye/Clint Barton: Alive and reunited with his family, giving him an excuse to quit the whole “violent vigilante” thing. He reportedly has not only a Disney+ series in the works but a standalone film coming soon.
War Machine/James Rhodes: Alive, but not much details about his future in the MCU was given. But, after the death of Tony, he’s probably ready to hang up his suit.
Scarlet Witch/Wanda Maximoff: Resurrected and alive, but still mourning the seemingly permanent death of Vision, the man/android she loved. We are looking forward to her upcoming show on Disney+ alongside her boo, Vision.
The Vision: There weren’t any references to Vision during the events of end game so it is safe to assume he is still dead. However, the upcoming WandaVision Disney+ series suggests that he’ll be back. We can’t wait to see how they’re going to pull that one off.
The Falcon/Sam Wilson: Sam is back from the dust and his beard is still as weird as ever. The old Steve Rogers passed his shields to Falcon. So, he’s probably the next Captain America. Yay? However, this is a head scratcher because of the Falcon and Winter Soldier TV show in development at Disney+.
