Nollywood star Uzor Arukwe has sparked a heated discussion on social media after urging single women to focus on building themselves before dreaming of marrying wealthy men. His advice follows the rising admiration for “Odogwu,” the affluent and romantic character he portrays in the trending movie Love In Every World 2.

Many viewers have flooded the internet with comments, calling Odogwu their “ideal man” and praising the character’s generosity, affection and financial power. But Arukwe insists that what made the relationship work on screen wasn’t just money it was the value and drive of the woman he loved.
“Your value will attract your own Odogwu”
Responding to the buzz, the actor highlighted how Chioma Odogwu’s lover played by former Big Brother Naija star Bambam was already hardworking and resourceful before receiving support from a wealthy partner. According to him, Odogwu never needed to question her contribution because her industrious nature was evident.
Taking to his X page, Arukwe wrote:
“While we are basking in our delulu, it’s important to remember that Odogwu saw Chioma as a valuable woman before throwing his full weight to support her. He didn’t even need to ask what she brings to the table because it was clear she’s an industrious woman. So as a woman, build value for yourself first, and your Odogwu will locate you to become your helpmate that makes everything easier to handle.”
His message has since stirred mixed reactions online, with many applauding his call for self-development, while others argue that society places unfair pressure on women to be “perfect” before finding love.
Still, Arukwe stands firm on one central point: value attracts value both in movies and in real life.
