Nigerian rising star and singer Temilade Openiyi, famously known as Tems, has recently reflected on her time in prison.
Around this time last year, Tems was arrested alongside three of her colleagues, namely Stanley Didia, known by his stage name Omah Lay and Muyiwa Awomiyi.
The three Nigerians who were in Uganda for a show were remanded in the Ugandan prison after being accused of violating COVID guidelines in the country.
The three were charged to court on charges of negligent acts likely to spread the virus.
However, due to the public outcry by Nigerians and their fans all over, the Nigerian government stepped in to secure their release.
A year after the experience, the ‘essence’ singer took to her Twitter page to recount the experience and appreciate God’s growth.
