Nigerian fast-rising singer Temilade Openiyi known by her music name ‘Tems’, has declared her love for fellow musician Wizkid.
In a video that went viral on Social media, the two performed their hit song ‘Essence’ on Wednesday at the O2 Arena in London, where Wizkid was seen trying to lift Tems during the performance.
Wizkid was seen placing his arms under Tem’s buttocks in an attempt to lift her, but he met resistance as Tems pulled his hands away and seemed to frown through the performance.
The video has caused split opinions on social media, has seen some fans accuse Wizkid of sexual harassment, while some defended his actions.
In a new video surfaced on Friday, Tems expressed gratitude for all Wizkid has done for her and his existence.
“All I’m going to say is that Wiz is my brother and someone I look up to; I want you guys to remember that he’s human, I’m human, and I love him, and that’s not gonna change,” She said.
They both received a nomination in the recently released list for the 64th Grammy awards.
