Ohanaeze Ndi-Igbo Youth Wing has hailed President Bola Tinubu’s actions following the recent suspension of Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu, while condemning unnecessary media trials of the issue by Nigerians.

Just by a very slim chance, a Senator representing Plateau South Constituency, Mrs. Nora Dadu’ut, got lucky as she maneuvered her way passed some angry youths protesting for reasons related to challenges in the state.

The Arewa Youth Federation reacted to the report by the United States media platform for alleging that the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration paid the sum of Twenty Million Naira (N20,000,000) to avoid air attacks.

In my understanding of the challenges facing young people in the northern part of Nigeria, there is what i call a treacherous triangle. This triangle consist of Illiteracy, poverty and unemployment. These three ugly terms are interrelated.

The major problem with Nigeria is lack of reliable statistics. Government itself knows there is a full-blown job crisis, the reason why it allowed most of its agencies to carry out secret recruitments.

Although our pioneer leaders gave chance to the then youths to fully participate in politics and contributed their quota, the present crop of leaders have succeeded in depriving the youths of this glorious chance.
