Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has strongly rejected the possibility of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar securing the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential ticket for the 2027 general election, asserting that Nigerians will not support him.

The post-Presidential Election drama still thrives as Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has joined the latest in the list of aggrieved candidates to take out his disappointment on a fellow political contender.

The drama is on Twitter now unmatched, as an online protest against the final results of the 2023 Presidential Election is ongoing. While it is obvious that Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor is against the Muslim-Muslim ticket in Nigeria and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s candidacy as the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP flag bearer, the outspoken Governor has finally come out to utter these words to a congregation that he would never support any candidate who that said: “No other person from any ethnic group could be president.”

A top Influencer on Twitter, Nefertiti, under the handle @firstladyship, took time out to expose Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP for stealing some development ideas of Peter Obi, Labour Party’s Presidential Candidate.

Talks that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, considered the possibility of swapping the running mate of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, that is Governor of Delta State with the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, just before the timetable of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, that gives political parties the grace to replace candidates before the 15th of July, 2022 expires.

The Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has dismissed the petition by Atiku Abubakar and the PDP challenging the election of President Muhammadu Buhari of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
