It was a full house in the Super Eagles hotel on Wednesday as Sparta Rotterdam of Holland goalkeeper Maduka Okoye landed in Nigeria for their clash against the Central African Republic. The player arrived at the Super Eagles Eko Hotel and Suites camp in Lagos to resume training with the team before the match on Thursday.

With Okoye’s arrival, head coach Gernot Rohr now has the full complement of the 23 invited players in camp ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying double-header against the Central African Republic. The young goalie is expected to take part in the team’s training session on Wednesday evening.
Nigeria Football Federation announced on Facebook saying they have a full house now. The statement reads: “Good morning fans, we’ve got a FULL HOUSE! Maduka Okoye is here.”
The goalkeeper will compete with Daniel Akpeyi and Francis Uzoho for the first team shirt. Thursday encounter at the Teslim Balogun Stadium will kick off at 5.00 pm.
