Arsenal Looking for First Win After League Resumption Against Southampton
Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from a 2-1 loss to Brighton when they face Southampton at St. Marry’s Stadium on Thursday evening. The Gunners experienced all sorts of problems at the back once again, with the team dropping to the tenth position in the standings.
To make things even worse for boss Mikel Arteta, first-choice goalkeeper Bernd Leno picked up an injury in their last game against Brighton which ended 2-1. In his absence, Emiliano Martinez is widely expected to be in the goal post till he is fit again.
The Saints, on the other hand, aim to build on a 3-0 win over Norwich City. Southampton is on the right track to secure the Premier League survival, and we are sure they will not allow struggling Arsenal to beat them in their Saint Mary Stadium. They will capitalize on Arsenal shaky defence with David Luiz still serving his suspension after he was given a straight red card in their first game after coronavirus lockdown.
A man to watch in the home team will be experienced striker Danny Ings, who has been scoring goals for fun this season.
