South Africa Revenue Service tweeted on Thursday afternoon; warning the public on job scams.
SARS warned that it will never advertise job vacancies on social media, only on the official South Africa Revenue Service website’s career section.
This is not the first time the SARS has been used for fake job scams.
It was reported last year that South Africans are among the most affected by spam calls in the world, as reported by true-caller insights 2018.
According to the mobile app company, 49% of all top spam calls in the country are scam-related. IT ranked SA the 4th most spammed country in the world.
