Super Eagles Star Ramon Azeez Expresses Joy as League is set to Resume
Super Eagles and Granada midfielder, Ramon Azeez has admitted he is very ready for the league’s restart following the coronavirus pandemic outbreak which led to the lockdown of sporting activities across Europe. Ramon Azeez described his move to Granada as a ‘big jump’ in his career and that he is ready to work hard to improve on his performance at the club.
The 27-year old who has played all his career in Spain moved from, Lugo to join Granada and helping them to secure promotion to the LaLiga where the team is currently placed in the middle of the table. Azeez who is also relishing the restart of the LaLiga season in Spain following the covid19 pandemic break said he wants to play his part to help Granada continue their good run till the end of the season.
According to him, he said: “I have experienced a quality jump (to Granada). I come from Lugo and in the middle of the season, I got a promotion, which is something great that we achieved throughout the city. “What we are doing this season is something big too, hopefully, we can continue as we are doing. We are ready to return and when we start again, we have to work very well in a very short time.
Ramon Azeez also said: “For my part, I do everything I can but you can always do more. We are training to face games. When I have to play, I have to do it with all the energy and concentration and I think that has helped me a lot.” Azeez shared his experience while at home in Nigeria during the covid19 pandemic lockdown describing it as complicated and worrisome.
Speaking to newsmen he said: “At the beginning, the quarantine was complicated. People were locked up at home. I had never had to be in the house for a month and a half without leaving. But with the help of my family, I managed to get along better every day.”
“I was worried about my family because the situation is not like here (in Spain). Hospitals and the care of the people while in Nigeria gave me worries, but thankfully, things are gradually getting back to normal.”
