The governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde has given an update on the state’s COVID-19 situation as of 17th May.
The Oyo state governor said the state has discharged an additional eighteen new coronavirus patients, after they tested negative for the coronavirus twice consecutively, bringing the total number of discharged cases in the state to forty-six.
The state also reported a cluster of eight cases from the same company in the Ibadan South West Local Government Area, with a total number of eleven confirmed cases that were reported on Sunday.
The governor also reported that two new deaths were confirmed from the tests carried out, with the suspected cases to have died from the university college hospital in Ibadan,he advised those who have had contact with cases to come in for testing, also those that have symptoms relating to those of coronavirus are advised to go for the testing by the governor.
