The organisers of the Big Brother Naija reality Tv show, MultiChoice Nigeria has revealed that over 30,000 Nigerians participated in an online audition for the BBNaija season five.
It was reported that the auditions were conducted online given the restrictions necessitated by the COVID-19 outbreak which make it difficult to gather a large number of people.
According to the organisers, the auditions for the BBNaija season five is the highest number of auditions they have ever received in the history of the show.
No gainsaying the fact that the reality show is the biggest reality TV show in Africa which has give room for viewers to root for participating housemates from different ends of the African continent and beyond.

The show has produced many housmates who are now celebrities, these include Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Bisola, Cee-C, Tobi Bakre, Mercy Eke, Mike Edwards, Tacha among many others.
Everyevery.ng gathered that a shortlist of housemates has been selected and are individually under quarantine to ensure that they are all healthy and COVID-19 free before the show get underway.
Earlier, it was reported that BBNaija season 5 will premiere on Sunday, July 19, 2020.
Also the organisers are putting all necessary measures in place to ensure that the show will be produced in line with the guidelines provided by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
However, as part of efforts to keep all BBNaija season five participants safe and healthy, MultiChoice Nigeria said there wont live audience at the Sunday Night Eviction Shows.
Moreso, there would be no unexpected celebrity visits to the House among other new rules that have been introduced by the organizers to ensure that the housmates are safe from the hazards of contracting COVID-19.
