Jamiu Maito tenders resignation hours after suspension of Ondo State Deputy Speaker.
Majority leader in the Ondo State house of Assembly, Mr Jamiu Maito on Wednesday, July 8 put in his resignation.
This is briefly after the state’s deputy speaker, Iroju Ogundeji and another member of the house Adewale Williams were placed on indefinite suspension for exhibiting unruly behaviour.
Mr Maito’s resignation was read out in a plenary session on Wednesday by the House of Assembly clerk,Bode Adeyelu.
Reports have it that the suspended Deputy speaker, Iroju and Ondo West representatives were seen outside the chambers taunting other members while they spoke to the press on the proceedings that led to the impeachment of the Deputy Governor.
