The leader of the Ogboni Fraternity was shot dead at Ore in Ondo State. Chief Stephen Akinwunmi, who was the leader of the fraternity in the south-west, was reportedly killed inside an unnamed hotel in Ore. He was shot after he opposed the command of the hoodlums to enter his car in the premises of the hotel.
So far, the police have arrested two people in connection to the murder and theft, from the hoodlums made away with many valuables and about N2m cash belonging to the deceased.

While speaking for the family, the wife of the deceased confirmed his death while asking the security agencies to find the perpetrators of the crime. She also added that the family have been receiving calls and messages threatening them since Chief Stephen was murdered.
The state Police Command have confirmed that it has begun investigations into the matter and promised to bring the culprits to book.
