From the stables of Ndani TV, the platform behind the widely-viewed Skinny Girl In Transit and Gidi Up, comes a spanking new web series titled: OGA! Pastor. The new series whose pilot episode premiered last week looks very promising. Ndani TV has since become a front-liner in Nigeria’s web series due to the success of their films in the past.
OGA! Pastor captures the tumultuous life of Pastor Deoye Gesinde (Uzor Arukwe), a man of God who is also the founder of his growing church. It is written by Lani Aisida, the screenwriter behind successful films such as Rumour has It, and Just Not Married.
The web series will revolve around the struggles he faces running his church, holding together his home, and living up to expectations. As a highly respected clergyman, Gesinde is saddled with being hypocritical in his actions or being human.
The pilot episode which is titled ’11 Days Ago’, Pastor Gesinde confesses a terrible sin of his to his congregation which leaves them devastated and confused. His pastorhood in under threat as is the survival of his marriage.
From the look of things, OGA! Pastor is on its way to becoming yet another hit series. The production, plot, acting and general execution are very much in sync.
Other actors on the film include Ini Dima-Okojie, Pearl Okorie, Jimmy Odukoya and others.
