PSG Hopes to Extend Winning Run to Five
Paris Saint-Germain will be looking to extend their winning run in Ligue 1 to five games when they take on Nimes at Stade des Costieres. Les Parisiens made a slow start to the season, but, as expected, they quickly returned to winning ways in the French top flight. Thomas Tuchel’s troops impressed in a 6-1 win over Angers before the international break, and they are likely to go all guns blazing at Nimes on Matchday 7.
They will be playing without six of their key players following the fact some of them are currently nursing one injury or the other and also coronavirus. Former Manchester United player Ander Herrera recently test positive for coronavirus and so will not feature in the game and he will also not play in the first leg of the Uefa Champions League which will be against Manchester United.
A man to watch in the away team will be Neymar, who scored a brace against Angers. Both Layvin Kurzawa and Angel Di Maria are sidelined through suspension for the visitors. Nimes, on the other hand, aims to build on a hard-fought 1-0 win over Montpellier. Les Crocodiles are undefeated in the previous four league fixtures, but PSG will pose a much bigger threat for the hosts than their previous rivals.
