Barely a day after they saw, on the 12th of March, Najeebat was shot several times in her grey Toyota while texting Habibat.

Najeebat’s father, Adewale Sule, reported that he heard the gunshots and rushed out of the house only to catch the last shot being fired at his first daughter. He said,

“I saw the guy shooting my daughter. He shot the last round and I pursued him. He ran back to his car.”

She was immediately rushed to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

At the time of this report, the police have not established a motive for the murder or made any arrests forcing the family to go into hiding for safety.
