Brazil and Paris Saint-Germain superstar Neymar Jnr has hit out at his countrymen for picking Barcelona and Argentina skipper Lionel Messi over their national team ahead of the Copa America final coming up soon. Brazil will be playing Argentina in the 2021 Copa America final, and Brazil fans have been tipping Messi and his team to win the trophy.
The game will be played on Saturday at the iconic Maracana Stadium. Lionel Messi, who has enjoyed a stellar career with Spanish giants Barcelona, is yet to win an International trophy for his country, which could be his chance. The 34-year-old is the leading scorer in the competition with four goals, and he has provided five-assist as well.

Brazilian SporTV journalist Fabiola Andrade is among those fans who have publicly supported Argentina in the final. The journalist said: “Before stoning me in a public square, let me explain: I love Brazil, Brazilian football…I have several Argentine friends. But I’m not going to root for Argentina in the Copa America final because of them, no. I cheer because I love #football and @leomessi. This guy needs to win a title with his country’s shirt! For justice.”
Reacting to this, the former Barca player has criticized the journalist for rating another country above his own country. However, the president of Brazil supporting Neymar Jnr said his side Brazil would beat Argentina 5-0 come Saturday in the final.
