It follows the lives of los Angeles suburban mother(Nancy Botwin), her two sons and brother-in -law, who are left without a dime after the untimely demise of her husband.  She eventually starts to deal marijuana to her neighbors in order to keep up and maintain her lavish lifestyle. Her motivation flipped from trying not to disrupt her children’s lives to doing anything for an adrenaline rush.

Though, the show may seem a bit too archaic and probably unrelatable, given the recent legalization of marijuana in California. Weeds first aired in 2005 and ran through for 8 seasons, coming to an end in 2012.
