Former Egypt head coach Hassan Shehata has come out to criticize Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah for Egypt’s poor form. The former manager said the player has failed to contribute to the development of the national team.

Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has become an icon in his homeland for his performances with the Premier League giants and everyone in the country except Shehata thinks he has not done enough for the Pharaohs.
According to the former Egyptian manager said: “Technically, and I’m sorry to say this, but Mohamed Salah [has done] nothing with the national team,” he also said: “He should have done much better than that. He must provide more when he plays for his country.
The manager said even though it is not in his place to choose players for the team but he should be able to talk to the coach and help the coach in selecting players.
