A 22-year-old lady, Miss Oluwabamise Ayanwole, who was declared missing by the mother after boarding a Lagos Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) vehicle, has been found dead.
The death of the fashion designer was confirmed on Monday by her relative who said the corpse is now at the morgue.
It was reported that her corpse was dropped on Lagos Island by a BRT vehicle and an SUV.
An unknown me sighted the corpse by the roadside and alerted the men of the Ebute-Ero Police Station on Saturday.
The relative confirmed that the corpse was taken to the Mainland Hospital mortuary and an autopsy would be carried out to confirm if any body part was missing.
Oluwabamise, on Saturday, February 26, sent a distress call to a friend after the BRT she boarded with number 240257 at Chevron Bus-Stop to Oshodi around 7 pm refused to pick any other passenger at subsequent bus stops.
Oluwabamise sensing this danger sent voice notes to the friend revealing that the driver asked for her name and details, claiming to like her.
She told her friend to pray for her as she became suspicious of the bus driver and in response, the friend told her to alight at Oworonsoki just before the Oshodi bus stop.
The Lagos State Police and the Lagos Bus Rapid Transit are currently searching for the BRT driver who has since eloped.
