Sportico has said that Ozil, the glamorous Hollywood film and TV star Longoria, model Kate Upton and her baseball pitcher husband Justin Verlander, and real estate investors Al Tylis and Sam Porter were the group involved in the share purchase.
Questions have arisen over whether this purchase would make them eligible for ownership of the club. Still, in a statement, Necaxa has said the group was simply investing in the club, and there would be no change of ownership.
