- Abulrasheed Maina on Thursday slumped before Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court in Abuja on Thursday suspended court proceedings after the former Chairman of the defunct Pension Reform Taskforce Team, Abulrasheed Maina slumped in the court.
Maina, who is facing money laundering charges reportedly slumped down shortly after the court resumed proceedings in the 12-count charge preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
The EFCC also filed a case against his company, Common Input Property and Investment Limited.
Maina Slumps In Court
You will recall that the ex-pension Boss had on Wednesday secured the permission of the court to enter a no-case-submission to the charge against him after the EFCC closed its case with nine witnesses.
It was gathered that Abdulrasheed’s lawyer, Mr Anayo Adibe was about to make a further submission when his client slumped beside the dock.
However, Some lawyers and officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service quickly rushed to his aid.
