Spanish La Liga champions Atletico Madrid is currently interested in signing Super Eagles of Nigeria striker Paul Onuachu. The attacker who currently plays for Belgium’s top side Genk is a major target for many European clubs following his current form.
Atlantic Madrid Wants Paul Onuachu
According to Spanish news outlet Marca, Atletico Madrid has already established contact with Genk for the Nigerian, and is most likely they will sign him soonest. According to a report, Diego Simeone’s side is willing to pay £20m for the 27-year-old who was linked with several clubs in Europe this summer.
Questions now is that will the beat the likes of English Premier League sides like Watford, Leicester and Liverpool who have all shown interest to sign the player. It is expected that Atlantico Madrid will the player in January as waiting for next summer may not be realistic because of the number of clubs set to sign him.
Paul Onuachu has scored nine goals in nine league appearances for Genk this season making him one of the top scorers in Europe presently. .
