Manchester United and Chelsea went toe to toe in the Stanford Bridge in an elite clash that ended 0:0. The two sides settled for a goalless draw in the English Premier League Matchday 26. But Manchester United and England left-back Luke Shaw have come out to reveal what the referee said after United was denied a penalty.
Luke Shaw’s Comment on the Pernalty
The visitors would have gotten a penalty in the first half of the game after Callum Hudson-Odoi appeared to handle the ball in the penalty area. Referee Stuart Attwell turned away the appeals and did not reverse that call after a Video Assistant Referee check. According to Luke Shaw, he said he heard the referee saying something to United Skipper.
Luke Shaw said, he heard the referee talking to Maguire about the handball in the penalty box. According to him, he said the referee said if he awarded the penalty it is going to cause a lot of talk after the game.
Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech forced David de Gea into a fine save, while Fred and Scott McTominay went close for United. The goalkeepers were at their best in the game as they were both outstanding in their various team’s.
The draws mean that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s is twelve points behind league leaders Manchester City while Chelsea remains in the fifth-place position with one point behind West Ham United who loses to Manchester City 2-1.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is yet to lose a game in all competitions since joining the English Premier League side from Pastis Saint Germain to replace Frank Lampard.
