Croatia and Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric has agreed to a one-year contract extension with his club side. The new deal will keep the former Tottenham player at the Santiago Bernabeu until June next year which will be 2023. The 2018 Ballon d’Or winner has made 436 Appearances for Real Madrid and was instrumental in their Champions League glory.

The 36-year-old was among the Croatian World Cup team that finished as runner-up in 2018. Luka Modric has won three La Liga titles and five Champions League trophies since he arrived and joined the Los Blancos.
He made 28 appearances as Carlo Ancelotti’s side secured the league title this season and he played 13 times in Europe as Real Madrid claimed their 14th Uefa Champions League victory. When Modric won the 2018 Ballon d’Or, he became the first player other than Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo to win the award in more than a decade.
