Jurgen Klopp says their next game will have three key players back to the team. They will be playing against Chelsea, who has been doing excellently well under new manager Thomas Tuchel. According to the head coach of Liverpool, he said Alisson Becker, Fabinho, and Diogo Jota could make all feature against Chelsea on Thursday.
Three Liverpool Players Set to Return to Face Chelsea
The trio was missing from action in their 2-0 win over struggling Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday night. Liverpool head coach Jurgen Klopp, however, acknowledged that he expected the three players to play some part of the crucial Premier League showdown at Anfield.
He said: “Alisson and Fabinho, I am pretty sure. He was with Diogo last night in the hotel, but he got sick overnight, and we had to send him home. So it will depend on how quickly he recovers.”
He also said the player was not in the squad, but he trained with the rest of the team members and looked fit to return to the pitch now. For their goalkeeper Alisson, he has been on compassionate leave following the death of his father.
Fabinho and Jota have been sidelined by muscle and knee injuries, respectively, but both player’s are now fit and could feature against Chelsea on Thursday. It is good news for the Reds, who have suffered losses of late due to a lack of players.
