The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami has approved the reactivation of about 20 National Identification Number, NIN Enrolment Centres In the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja.
He also approved the closure of enrolment activities at the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC head office to make the process of NIN enrolment much easier beginning from Monday, January 18, 2021.
Residents and visitors in the FCT, who wished to enroll for the NIN were advised to use the newly approved NIN Enrollment centers in Abuja.

Other centers approved by the NIMC are the FRSC Zone, Ministry of Agriculture, Mogadishu Cantonment, NASS, DSS, High Court Lugbe, OSGF, INEC, National Mosque, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, however, advised members of the general public to visit any of the newly approved enrolment centers closest to them for the NIN registration and issuance.
Meanwhile, the National Identity Management Commission, NIMC has raised alarm over what it tagged the creation of Fake NIMC Mobile App by fraudsters to get peoples NIN’s and BVN’s by default.
