President Muhammadu Buhari has approved three-bedroom houses each to the Super Eagles squad that won the 1994 Africa Cup of Nations in Tunisia. The technical crew will also benefit from the allocation.
The information was made known in a statement issued by the Presidential Spokesman, Garba Shehu, on Thursday in Abuja. The spokesman said that the approval followed a memo by Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola.
Shehu said President Buhari approved the allocations for the players to be given a three-bedroom house each to the players and the technical crew in their various states of preference. Six players and three technical crews have already received their houses.

However, four of the players who won the prestigious Africa Cup of Nations for Nigeria in 1994 are already dead, and so the allocation will be given to their families. The players who won the cup and are dead are Wilfred Agbonavbare, Uche Okafor, Thompson Oliha and the famous Nigerian coach that won, Stephen Keshi.
Other players that will benefit from the allocation include Famous ex-Super Eagles goalkeeper Peter Rufai, Alloy Agu, Ike Shorounmu, Uche Okechukwu, Victor Ikpeba, Austin Eguavoen Samson Siasia, Efan Ekoku, Sunday Oliseh, Benedict Iroha, Isaac Semitoje, Mutiu Adepoju, Emmanuel Amunike Christian Chukwu, Akin Amao, Stephen Edema, A Asielue (now a Colonel in the Army) and B. Aromasodun.
