English Premier League side Leicester City were the only team in the English Premier League who went into the Europa League and came out without scoring or conceding last night.
They played out a goalless draw with Slavia Prague in their Europa League last-32 tie. Brendan Rodgers’ side, who are in the third-place position in the Premier League, was unable to find the back of Prague’s net.
Leicester star player Harvey Barnes came close to scoring but was denied close range in the first half. Slavia Prague did well to keep Leicester City on their toes in the second half of the game. Leicester City will be hosting Slavia Prague on the 25th of February in their King Power Stadium.
Brendan Rodger Proud of Leicester City Despite Poor Outing
Leicester manager Brendan Rodgers after the game said he was delighted with his team. He said, speaking from a defensive perspective, and they did well to the host reasonably quiet.
He said: “The pitch was heavy, and it was a little bit of man-marking. I was delighted with the spirit, and we were solid away from home.”
