Pets are animals that we keep around us for company, comfort or just because they are cute.
Keeping a pet in Nigeria is mostly limited to either a cat or dog. Different breeds of the two are our only options.
Well, they are both really cool pets to keep and we still have other options around us that we can have. They cost very little and they give little stress.
Birds
There are many species of birds around Nigeria that we can also keep as a pet. The cool thing about keeping a bird is that they cost almost nothing to maintain.
Keeping a bird as a pet can be done in several ways; you can allow them to fly around freely and come back to nest while you feed them or have them in a cage.
Goldfish
These tiny and adorable creatures are the easiest pets to maintain. They can simply sit in their bowl, swimming around.
There’s no noise, no dirt, and no fuss. You do have to clean up its water tank frequently though. And the best part about them is they don’t eat much.
Gold fishes have their own special type of food. A few drops of it and they are done. If you have a goldfish, do not feed then with anything else or they’ll die.
Rabbit
Having a pet rabbit is fun. They bounce around their cage and if you have two (male and female) they can reproduce and thus business has begun.
In conclusion, whichever pet you decide to get. They are all fun and cute to have around.
