The Government of Katsina State has commissioned a new testing centre for the COVID-19 pandemic in the state to help its fight against the pandemic.
The governor of Katsina state, Governor Aminu Bello Masari made this announcement while giving an update on the state’s COVID-19 pandemic situation.
The governor said the testing centre is in partnership with a laboratory in the state called Sahel Medicare services. The company will be able to test up to 270 samples in a day, easing them from the stress of taking samples outside the state for testing.
The governor of Katsina state said, “Through an MoU with Sahel Medicare Services ltd Katsina, COVID-19 tests will commence this week. The Sahel laboratory has the capacity to test 270 samples in 24 hours. This will definitely save us from the cumbersome procedure of taking samples to either Abuja or Kano for tests.”
