Jose Mourinho was surprisingly sacked by Tottenham Hotspur last week Monday. In the intervening days, the Portuguese manager has reportedly turned down a job offer, with the reason for his rejection of the club seemingly revealed.
Jose Mourinho reportedly turns down Celtic
The 58-year-old was booted out of the London club by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy, less than a week before the Lilywhites’ Carabao Cup final against Manchester City, which they eventually lost 1-0.
Since his exit from the club, it has been reported that a lot of offers have been tabled before Mourinho, with Scottish heavyweights Celtic believed to be one of the clubs interested in copping the signature of the former Real Madrid boss.
But Duncan Castles, a football journalist, claims that the recently sacked manager told the Glasgow club that he is not ready to return to football just yet.
Apart from Jose Mourinho, others have also been linked with the Celtic job. Eddie Howe, Roy Keane and former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard are a few other names to have been linked.
