Another bad news just hit the English Premier League defending champions Liverpool. Reports have it that their skipper Jordan Henderson has been ruled out for up to 10 weeks. The player suffered a groin injury in the 2-0 home loss to Everton.
Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson Ruled Out for Ten weeks
The 30-years-old England midfielder was forced out of the game in the first half in Saturday’s 2-0 Merseyside derby loss. This is terrible news for Liverpool as many of their players have been sidelined with one injury or another.
The Liverpool star has now joined Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Fabinho on the injury list. Jordan Henderson has had surgery and will miss three England World Cup qualifiers as well.
It is expected that the player will return before the season ends, but the question now is will Liverpool be able to still maintain their top-level performance without their significant players.
Henderson was the one who was playing as the centre back after Van Dijk, Gomez, and Matip sustained injury. The club will now have to depend on their new signings to help them till he returns.
