John Obi Mikel Praised by Stoke City Manager
Manager of Stoke City Michael O’Neil has hailed the performances of former Super Eagles captain John Obi Mikel. Since Mikel joined the in the summer on a free transfer he has been doing well. The 33-year-old was brilliant for Stoke City on Saturday as they beat Rotherham United in their Championship League game.
O’Neil, however, explained that he is happy with Mikel Obi’s games since he joined the side and hopes the Nigerian will continue with his fine form this season in the Championship.
The manager said: ”I think John Obi has done very well as well. Particularly we’ve seen his quality in recent games. ” “We believe we will continue to get stronger as a team.” Stoke City will be facing Watford in their next game and Mikel Obi is expected to play again. The Potters are currently in the eight position on the Championship table.
They have 15 points after nine games played so far. Mikel played for Chelsea before in the Premier League where he won the League title and also the Champions League.
