Crystal Palace forward Wilfried Zaha has been added to the Ivory Coast squad for the Africa Cup of Nations which is to take place in Cameroon come January.
Doubt was cast over the 29-year-old’s international future last month after he reportedly asked not to be included in November’s World Cup qualifiers. However, Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira insisted Zaha wanted to continue to play for his country.
The country has now added the player to their traveling team alongside two Manchester United players. 28-years-old Defender Eric Bailly and 19-year-old Amad Diallo are on the list too.
Ivory Coast coach Patrice Beaumelle said in August he hoped that Diallo would be able to go out on loan to playing time but the player did not at the end of the day.
Ivory Coast is in Group E and they will begin their campaign in Cameroon against Equatorial Guinea on 12 January before playing Sierra Leone and defending champions Algeria.
