Antonio Conte’s Inter Milan have been crowned the Italian Serie A 2020/21 champions following their 2-0 win in their last game and Atalanta drawing today 1-1 today. The title is their first sine 2010. Juventus have dominated the Italian Serie A league for the past nine years now, Inter wining the title means a whole lot to both the team and the players.
Inter Milan were confirmed as as the champions after Sassuolo drew 1-1 with Atalanta who are in the second-place position, the draw means Antonio Conte’s side of the league crown. Inter are 13 points clear in first place with four games stuill left to play the win has nine consecutive title wins for Juventus.
Inter Milan Wins 19th Serie A Title
This year’s league success marks Inter’s 19th Serie A crown which means they have now overtaken AC Milan who are their city rivals. AC Milan have 18 Serie A titles, they are now the second-most successful club in league history behind Juventus, with 36 league wins.
The former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte beat Crotone 2-0 on Saturday to allow them to grasp the trophy with one hand. It was former Tottenham play maker Christian Eriksen and Achraf Hakimi who scored one each to ensure they beat Crotone. However, it was Atalanta’s draw that ensured it was mathematically impossible for any of the chasing pack to catch them.
