Mali and Brighton & Hove Albion’s midfielder Yves Bissouma has agreed a £30m deal with Tottenham Hotspur and the question on the lips of people now are what can the African add to Antonio Conte’s team. The 25-year-old becomes Spurs boss Antonio Conte’s third summer signing, following deals for goalkeeper Fraser Forster and winger Ivan Perisic.
Tottenham Signs Yves Bissouma from Brighton
The Malian international whose contract with the Seagulls expires in 12 months, has made 124 appearances since joining the club from Ligue 1 side Lille in July 2018.
The north London club were iwasally interested in signing him in January. He is expected to undergo a medical at Tottenham later this week and the deal is subject to personal terms being agreed with tupon he player. The coveted central midfielder started 26 Premier League games for the Seagulls last season, scoring one goal in those appearances.
Yves Bissouma played an influential role in Graham Potter’s side which is why many believes he will do well under the former Chelsea and Inter Milan coach.
He helped Brighton secured a ninth place finish in the English Premier League – the highest finish in the club’s history. Speaking of his arrival, last September he said it was not his time to leave Brighton but that he wanted to play in the Champions League, which Spurs have qualified for next season, so coming now is a perfect move.
The player will bring balance to the midfield of the Italian and also help stabilize the team. The player who was a major target by Manchester United will now continue his impressive form under Antonio Conte.
