Hiking Gone Bad: Kubwa Folks Mourns as One Hiker dies
Hiking has turned another thing in Abuja, as people troop out to hike without tutors and without wearing the proper wears, some even wear sanders and easy wears to hike. With the continuation rainfall in Abuja, it would have wise to take caution and not to hike as at time like this considering the weather.
A Hiker in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja Kubwa has been reported dead, the sad news came earlier this morning, they have not been much news about the victim. The gender, name or age of the person is yet to be known. Hiking has become a thing of fun and not just to keep fit any more since lock-down began.
After the Federal Government of Nigeria declared lockdown in Abuja, young folks in the federal capital Territory took to climbing of rocks and doing morning work in their numbers. Some weeks back some group of young boys collected a phone from one of the person’s who went for Hiking and the person in-turn went to call his own gang and they invaded a particular area in kubwa called Pipeline Kubwa Village.
The gang destroyed many things in the process of retrieving their gang member’s phone, a church in that area had their newly placed glass windows all broken and motor cars parked in the area had their wheel screen all broken. Police are still in search of the boys behind this and then just this morning another news came that one of the hikers fell from the rock and died.
Investigations are still on going as to what really happened as they always fight during the hiking, they are categories of people, those who came to dance, keep fit, smoke and fight as well. The police are investigating to know the actually cause of the death of the Hiker
